Our History
A slow story of craft
From a small Oslo atelier to a modern leather goods maison, NEESO has grown slowly — one bag, one artisan, one quiet detail at a time.

The beginning
NEESO was founded in Oslo by a small collective of artisans with a shared belief: that true luxury lives in the details, not the logo. The first atelier opened on Bygdøy allé, where every hide was inspected by hand and every pattern cut one at a time.
First collection
The debut line introduced five silhouettes — a duffel, a tote, a weekender, a clutch, and a crossbody — each designed to outlast seasons. The response confirmed that quiet craftsmanship could speak louder than noise.
Oslo atelier
We moved into our permanent atelier, a light-filled workshop where a single artisan follows each bag from the first cut to the final stitch. This remains the heart of NEESO today.
European ateliers
Selected pieces began traveling to partner ateliers across Europe, each chosen for a specific expertise: edge painting in Italy, hardware finishing in France, saddle stitching in Spain.
Today
NEESO continues as an independent Norwegian house. Every creation is still made in limited quantities, with the same patience, precision, and respect for material that defined the first bag.
